The great pyramids of Egypt are placed in a pattern after the template of the three belt stars of the constellation of Orion the Hunter.
This fact is somewhat well known now. The Great Pyramid is in the middle of the three, where the brightest star in the belt is located. The dimmest star in the belt is on the right (western side) of the belt, and slightly off-line from the other two stars in the belt – exactly as the smallest of the three pyramids is placed. So the belt of Orion was the template for the placement of the Pyramids of Giza almost 5,000 years ago. This is a scientific “given” nowadays.
But, why was this done? It was done because the Pyramids are ONE COMPONENT of a much larger complex of stars that serve as the MASTER TEMPLATE for a major cultural statement – a statement that surely involves an as yet undiscovered treasure of immense proportions.
THE MASTER TEMPLATE:
The Master Template in the night sky (that leads to this incredible treasure) begins with a star far below the celestial equator, and therefore only visible from southern latitudes: the first magnitude star Achernar. Achernar marks the origin of the longest of all constellations – Eridanus, the River – the Nile River, the longest river of Earth. The origin of the Nile river was not discovered by modern civilizations until 1857 with the British explorations of Lord Stanley and Dr. Livingston. But the fact that the constellation Eridanus is of ancient origin, and marks the location of what is now called Lake Victoria, points to the fact that the makers of the constellation knew where the Nile began, because they must also have originated in that same area of Africa.
Eridanus proceeds northward from Achernar, bending and winding as does the Nile itself. A bright, first magnitude star marks the foot of Orion, the star’s name is “Rigel,” the foot, or toe, or Orion. So, Orion is seen standing on the banks of the Nile. This site, where now the Temple of Luxor stands, is an ancient location that archeologists claim has been continuously occupied for over 250,000 years. The first Paleolithic artifacts in Africa were discovered at this location, the location of the star Rigel on the Master Template in the sky.
The three pyramids at Giza are on the west side of the Nile and are aligned in the direction of the brightest star visible from earth: Sirius, the fifth closest star to the Sun. It is known that about half way up each pyramid small 4″ (inch) wide shafts exist, aligned with the star Sirius so that the light from this mighty star might shine into the center of the pyramid and onto the face of the sarcophagus of the Pharaoh. “Sirius” is the Greek transliteration of the Egyptian “Osiris,” the god of the dead.
The rising of Sirius at sunset on the first night of spring marked the beginning of the Egyptian new year. The ancient Egyptians considered there to be only 365 days in the year, while we know today there is closer to 365 1/4 days, which we compensate for by having an extra day every fourth, or Leap, year. But to the ancient Egyptians Sirius was seen to rise 6 hours later each Spring. Thus for Sirius to rise again (from the underworld) at sunset on the first night of Spring would take an immensely long time. One day later every 4 years, multiplied by 365 days = 1,440 years before Sirius returns to rise at sunset on the first night of Spring. This time period is called the “Cycle of Sirius.” Yet a stone tablet unearthed on the island nation of Qatar (note: east of the Nile, toward the rising of The Sun in the day, and Sirius at night) is seen to record 9 Cycles of Sirius, or 12,960 years.
The extreme antiquity of this Master Template, and the awesome efforts of the ancients in regard to the cult of the stars, is more than sufficient to lend credence to the interpretation of the star positions as a geographical indicator – pointing to what is probably the greatest as yet undiscovered treasure of the ancient world – the Shrine of Osiris.
As god of the dead, Osiris’ abode was below ground, the underworld. That explains why it hasn’t been discovered in modern times. It is below ground. Where exactly the underground site is located encounters difficult complications to ascertain.
COMPLICATIONS:
In order to find the underground Shrine of Osiris – which the above commentary has established sufficient grounds to assume to exist – it is necessary to trace out on the ground what the stars show in the sky. Here some complications arise.
First, one cannot simply go to the pyramids and site southwestward. If Rigel is Luxor, which is about 309 miles south of the pyramids (aka. belt stars of Orion), then Sirius is 803.9 miles southwest of the pyramids – roughly. Which would appear to be in northern Chad. Formal mapwork needs to be done. But that’s not the half of it…
Second, Sirius has moved. Due to being the fifth closest star to the Sun, Sirius’ proper motion is more evident than almost any other star. In fact, a folk tale of the nomadic peoples of the region associate Sirius with Procyon as sisters wishing to cross the Milky Way, and Sirius only knowing HOW TO SWIM across. Surely that story must date, based upon the rate of Sirius’s apparent motion, to 60,000 years ago! Where Sirius was in the sky 5,000 years ago when it was aligned with the pyramids needs to be considered. But the swimming aspect of the story is the key to finding the treasure.
However, there may be clues….
Sirius was associated with bringing water. The Spring floods which sustained Egypt’s agriculture were marked by the Spring rising of Sirius. Could the setting of Sirius in the west, – his return to the underground, – also be associated with water?
It is very near the GILF KEBIR a massive rock outcrop containing a cave – a cave with paintings of swimmers, going down, going up, and walking away. This cave is called the “Cave of The Swimmers” and is now filled with sand.
It turns out that the general region of the Saharan desert we are considering is also home to the largest underground deposit of fresh water on Earth – the Nubian Sandstone Aquifer. Could the ancients have known about this water supply that lies 1,600 feet underground? Perhaps not; unless it somehow managed to rise to the surface though cracks that became “oases.” Might an oasis mark the spot? I think so. There are many small oases, but once the adjustments have been done, and the mapping recalculated, there may not be more than a handful that fit the alignment.
Recently it has been reported that Dr. Sarah Parcak of the University of Alabama, Birmingham was credited with discovering over a thousand ancient Egyptian tombs, and a dozen or so pyramids, through the use of satellite infra-red photographs. The infrared shows patterns different from those seen in visible light created by modern society. It certainly seems probable that a series of possible sites could be located using infrared satellite photos that might overlap the target sites established by ground mapping, reducing the target sites even further, perhaps even pinpointing it: The Underground Shrine of Osiris.
A couple more complications immediately arise. First, the terrain is intimidating. No better place to locate the shrine of the god of the dead than in these god-forsaken badlands. It’s not for first-timers. An expedition out there would have to be big time explorers who have a track record of dealing with extreme desert environments. Second, the political terrain is even more intimidating. Perhaps the spot is inside Libya, or maybe Sudan. Myanmar Quadaffi has built huge underground conduits to funnel water from the aquifer, and may be hiding advanced weaponry in some of these conduits. NATO forces are debating, as of this writing, whether to include these sites among their bombing targets. And that’s a real first magnitude complication…if water is disrupted during the summer, millions of people will be imperiled. No western power will be able to provide relief from dehydration for these peoples served by the aquifer.
So, there you have it, a blast from the past. Have metal detector, and shovel, will travel?
